Air Force

Air Force Airman 1st Class Jem B. Beck graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Beck is the son of Mardy and Greg Beck of Tumwater, and a 2007 graduate of A.G. West Black Hills High School, Olympia. He earned an associate degree in 2008 from South Puget Sound Community College, Olympia.

Air Force Reserve Airman Troy T. Bentz graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Bentz is the son of Debbie Bentz of Olympia, and a 2012 graduate of Olympia High School.

Air Force Airman Daniel R. Daniels graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Daniels is the son of Brenda Diettrich, and James Daniels, both of Olympia, and a 2010 graduate of William Winlock Miller High School.

Air Force Airman Dylan T. Nelsen graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Nelsen is the son of Sheila and David Nelsen of Olympia, and a 2010 graduate of North Thurston High School.

Air Force Airman Hieu M. Phan graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Phan is the son of Hanh Phan of Olympia, and a 2007 graduate of Capital High School.

Air Force Airman James H. Tran graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Tran is the son of Thuy-Lam Hoang and Vong Tran of Tumwater, and a 2010 graduate of A.G. West Black Hills High School.

Army

Army Sgt. Brett M. Coleman has returned to the U.S. after being deployed overseas at a forward operating base to serve in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Coleman has served in the military for three years. He is the son of Barbie Coleman of Yelm, and a 2008 graduate of Yelm High School.
