Meadows Elementary School was put on lock down this morning as Thurston County Sheriff's deputies searched for a man involved in a disturbance Wednesday night.

Deputies were called to a home near the school Wednesday night for a disturbance allegedly involving a gun, said Lt. Greg Elwin.

"The suspect fled and we couldn't find him, but he came back to the house this morning," Elwin said. "There was a small disturbance and he fled the area again on foot."

Deputies used a search dog, but once again could not find the man. Elwin said the track showed me may have gotten into a vehicle.

The man has a Department of Corrections warrant for escaping community custody, Elwin said.
