A Lacey police sergeant is being investigated for alleged inappropriate conduct while off-duty at the Viking Tavern in the 6000 block of Martin Way.

No details about the behavior were released. The sergeant is on paid administrative leave while Olympia police investigate whether a crime was committed. Lacey police also will conduct an administrative investigation.

Management of the Viking Tavern contacted Lacey police Tuesday, according to a news release. Employees at the tavern declined to comment Thursday.
