A Morton woman was injured after losing control on some ice a mile north of town Saturday morning, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Mindy L. Woore, 51, was driving a 1989 Toyota pickup north of Morton on state Route 7 just after 1 a.m. when she drove on some ice while trying to make a left turn, according to a release.

The truck crossed the center line into the southbound lane, went off the roadway and over a steep embankment, rolled and came to a rest on the driver's side.

Woore was injured and taken to Morton General Hospital. She was cited for driving too fast for the road conditions.
