No-gun rule bodes well for our national debate

The Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade Show (presented by the National Shooting Sports Foundation) was held recently in Las Vegas. Apparently (I haven’t heard otherwise in the news), a good time was had by all.

Perhaps the rules of attendance were part of the reason: shotshow. org/en/Attendees/Attendance -Rules/.

I was happy to see that the organizers felt that things would go better if those attending the event were not allowed to carry guns. And that (apparently) none of those attending objected to the gun carry restriction.

The attendance rules also prohibited “loud, abusive, or defamatory language, harassment or other unprofessional or inappropriate behavior.”

To me, it bodes well for our national discussion about reasonable and safe use and handling of guns.
