Olympia Sweet Adelines open house: Attendees can hear women’s four-part harmony singing, get vocal lessons and learn about performances and regional competition from 7-9 p.m. in Room 253 at the Minnaert Center, 2011 Mottman Road SW, Olympia. 360-438-1988.

Friday

The Native Plant Salvage Foundation volunteer recognition event: It’s set for 5:15-9 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Olympia, 1224 Legion Way SE. It includes an organic meal prepared by chef Bill Lepman and live music from the band Bevy. Volunteers and the group’s partners of the year will be recognized. Admission is a donation. “The Creative Edge”: The Arts Olympia spring art show and sale is set for 6-9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Coach House at the State Capital Museum, 214 22nd St. W., Olympia. 360-264-4474.

Feb. 9

Cancer Survivors ‘Sweetheart’ Luncheon: Cancer survivors and their caregivers are invited to a free luncheon at noon at VFW Post 318, 2902 Martin Way E., Olympia. Feb. 15

Turning Pointe’s Brewhouse Bash: A music performance to benefit Turning Pointe Domestic Violence Services is set for 5-8 p.m. at Grove Street Brewhouse at First and Grove streets, Shelton. A silent auction will end at 7:30 p.m., and the winner must be present. Donations also can be made by mailing a check to Turning Pointe, P.O. Box 2014, Shelton, WA 98584.
