The Tumwater School District has terminated a teacher's aide at Tumwater High School after someone witnessed him inappropriately touching a 14-year-old female student and reported it to administrators, according to Tuwmater Assistant Superintendent Bob Kuehl.

The Tumwater Police Department is investigating the allegation, but it does not appear to rise to the level of criminal behavior, and no criminal charges are expected to be filed, Tumwater Police Detective Jen Kolb said. The case is still under investigation, however, she added.

The alleged incident occurred in December, Kuehl said. The teacher's aide was terminated on January 24, he added.
