Tonight: North Thurston School Board will consider spending $500,000 on new buses

Lisa Pemberton, staff writer

The North Thurston School Board will recognize winners of the Lacey Loves to Read bookmark contest, hear updates on the district’s literacy initiatives and career and technical education programs and discuss and possibly vote on the purchase of six new school buses during its meeting at 7 p.m. tonight at the Dr. John Gott Administrative Center, 305 College NE, Lacey.

If approved, the new school buses would be delivered by Aug. 1. The total cost would be about $500,000, according to a quote that was given to the district.
