Restaurants get big TV breaks

February 6, 2013

Three local restaurants will get their big national television debuts this month on the Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.”

Olympia’s Fish Tale Brew Pub will make its debut at 10 p.m. Monday, Feb. 11. Crockett’s Public House in Puyallup will be featured in an episode debuting 10 p.m. Feb. 18. Bruno’s European Restaurant in Parkland will cook its European café fare in an episode airing Feb. 25. Also expected to air in March is an episode featuring Tacoma’s Crown Bar, a Sixth Avenue eatery.

The episodes were filmed in the fall when host Guy Fieri was in town for an appearance at Saint Martin’s University in Lacey. Olympia’s Darby’s Cafe previously was featured in a Jan. 21 episode.
