Activist, author Christina Lopez will speak Friday at Saint Martin's

Christina Lopez, author of the “Estamos en la Lucha: Immigrant Women Light the Fires of Resistance” will speak at 4 p.m. Friday in Harned Hall, room 110, at Saint Martin’s University, 5000 Abbey Way SE, Lacey.

Lopez is on the national steering committee of Radical Women, and president of its Seattle chapter. She is co-founder of Sisters Organize for Survival and was the vice-presidential candidate on the Freedom Socialist Party’s 2012 presidential ticket.

The event, which is part of Saint Martin’s Robert A. Harvie Social Justice Lecture Series, is free and open to the public.
