Singers, dancers, musicians and variety acts could snag a $500 prize during the fourth annual Thurston County Television SHOW OFF! talent contest this spring.

Acts are being sought for a preliminary competition being held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 9 at the Washington Center for Performing Arts Stage II.

Non-professional performers who are at least 7-years-old are being asked to enter the event, a fundraiser for TCTV.

Acts can pre-register until 5 p.m. March 7, but walk-ins are also welcome. There is a $15 entry fee.

Judges will choose a maximum of 16 acts to perform in the SHOW OFF! Final Competition April 14. Two $500 prizes, Judges Choice and Audience Choice, will be awarded.

The second and third place acts will receive trophies. The show will be aired live on TCTV and streamed online.

The public is invited to be part of the live audience at the Washington Center. The event is free.

The audience choice winner, chosen through $1 donations to TCTV, will be announced April 20.

Past winners include a 12-year-old singer from Yakima, a doo-wop vocal group from Capital Playhouse, a 9-year-old drummer and a mother-daughter interpretive sign language performance.
