TONIGHT: Olympia School Board will hear updates on proposed new GRuB Farm, school safety

The Olympia School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. today at the Knox Administrative Center, 1113 Legion Way SE, Olympia.

Agenda items include:

*Recognition of the district’s “Blue” schools based on Washington State Achievement Index.

*An update on the new evaluation systems for teachers and principals, and professional development plans for certificated staff on March 1.

*A presentation about estimated costs and funding sources to develop a GRuB farm on property next to Centennial Elementary School.

*A report about the district’s emergency procedures and procedures, particularly regarding safety in a variety of situations.

*Discussion and possible vote on full-day kindergarten tuition and scholarships for the 2013-14 school year.
