Here’s how to help local homeless kids

In response to The Associated Press article regarding the 27,000 homeless children in our area – contact Homeless Backpacks Inc. at homelessbackpacks.org, 360-628-8631. This organization gathers food and delivers it to local schools. The items are then discreetly distributed to students in need.

But, unfortunately, the food gathered is only a portion of the food that is needed. Also contact your local school’s counselor or nurse’s office to find out what you can do to help our children.
