President didn’t make drone decisions alone
STEVE COXI agree the use of drones in warfare is a serious ethical question. But what greater ethical quandary is there than war in general, which is a license to murder other humans without legal consequences? To put the responsibility of drone attacks and the deaths of Pakistani children on President Barack Obama fails to acknowledge the many advisers and Cabinet members who, together with the president, make these decisions. It is convenient to forget that Obama inherited two wars and a daunting financial crisis. The decisions made as commander-in chief weigh heavily on any president, surely no less on a father of two.
