Lacey police responded to a report of a disturbance at the residence. While police were en route, the man left the home in a vehicle. Detectives found the unoccupied vehicle a short distance away from the residence.
Officers established a perimeter, and were assisted by Olympia police officers and Thurston County sheriff's deputies. K-9 units belonging to Lacey police and the sheriff's office began a track on the nearby Chehalis Western Trail, and located the suspect, about 300 yards north of 37th Avenue. He was in possession of a handgun when officers took him into custody.
The 43-year-old Lacey resident was booked at the Thurston County Jail on suspicion of second-degree assault.
