Dept. of Transportation leader Hammond resigns; Gov. Inslee to name new cabinet choices

The Associated Press

OLYMPIA - Gov. Jay Inslee is preparing to name several new cabinet choices.

Inslee spokesman David Postman said the appointments would be named Tuesday afternoon. The selections will include a new secretary at the Department of Transportation, where current leader Paula Hammond has told staff that she will be leaving in March.

Inslee has been in office for more than a month but has left several cabinet appointments unfilled.
