Black Hills High School in Tumwater wins award at Northwest Flower & Garden Show

Black Hills High School’s horticulture program brought home a title today from the Northwest Flower & Garden Show in Seattle.

“They won ‘Most funky/cool/unusual/creative,' ” said show spokesman Barry Bartlett.

To learn more about the Hollywood-inspired display garden, here's the story we ran in Monday's paper. The garden’s design included an old movie projector, a red carpet and a gazebo built in the style of Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.
