The 2013 Radical Reels film tour, featuring some of the most action-packed films from the Banff Mountain Film Festival, will make two stops in the Puget Sound region.

The Olympia showing will be March 8, followed by a presentation March 11 in Seattle.

Now in its 10th year, the tour – touted as films that go faster, steeper, higher, deeper – is made up of short, action-packed films about climbing, paddling, mountain biking, BASE (building, antenna, span, Earth) jumping, skiing, snowboarding and other adrenaline sports.

This year’s film selection includes “Being There,” a skiing movie from Norway; “Endless Roads” about a group of female longboarders who travel across Spain; “Reel Rock 7: La Dura Dura,” looks at Chris Sharma and Adam Ondra as they attempt the hardest sports climb up Spain’s La Dura Dura in their own style; and “Whitewater Grand Prix – Big Water Enduro” that follows some of the world’s best whitewater kayakers as they race down whitewater in Chile.

Each year the film festival offers Radical Reels Night, which is a crowd favorite. The tour now stops at more than 50 locations across the United States and Canada.
