Bothered by officers pulling drivers over

We live in a police state. It never used to be this way. I counted six police cars on the side of the roads on my way to work the other morning. Sitting on the side of various streets and highways like armed gangsters just waiting to pounce. Whatever happened to protect and serve? Now it’s become collect and fine.

I was pulled over one time, and issued a ticket for not speeding. I was also questioned about “Where do you work?” and “How long have you worked there?”

Who wants to be interrogated by a cop on the side of the road at 6 a.m., and why do they think it’s OK to ask questions like that?

I am a law-abiding citizen, a professional woman, and truly I don’t trust the police anymore.

In my opinion, living in Thurston County is no good anymore, and I wish Washington State Patrol and Thurston County deputies would ease up.

Maybe if they weren’t on the sides of the roads issuing tickets, they could be combing our neighborhoods keeping us safe. Just a thought.
