Update: Police searching for 2 who stole wallet from Olympia gym
Chelsea Krotzer/Staff writerUpdate: Police have one of two people in custody after a wallet was stolen from an Olympia gym this morning.Police set up a perimeter along Black Lake Boulevard and used two police dog teams to search. A man was found while a woman is still at large, according to Olympia Police spokesperson Laura Wohl. Earlier story:Police are searching for a man and woman they say stole a wallet from a west Olympia gym Friday morning.The two stole a wallet from 24 Hour Fitness then fled in a car, according to Olympia spokesperson Laura Wohl.The pair left the gym and were pulled over by police on Black Lake Boulevard, then pulled away from the officers and crashed, Wohl said.Both fled on foot. Wohl said police believe they were involved in similar crimes."These folks are wanted in several of similar crimes if they turn out to be who we think they are," Wohl said.Olympia, Lacey and Thurston County Sheriffs deputies are actively searching with two search dogs.Check back to theolympian.com for updates.
