River Ridge's Brad Wallace lands first Division I scholarship offer for basketball

• Published March 05, 2013

River Ridge senior guard Brad Wallace has picked up his first basketball scholarship offer from an NCAA Division I school, and it's from the University of Idaho, Hawks coach John Barbee said.

"It's the first of many offers to come," Barbee said.

Idaho was in attendance during River Ridge's 2A regional game with Renton on Feb. 23, as Renton beat the Hawks, 73-57. Other larger schools expressing interest in Wallace are Idaho State and Seattle U, Barbee said. The 5-foot-11 guard recently wrapped up his high school basketball career averaging nearly 28 points per game as a senior and leaves as the school's all-time leading scorer.
