Four years later, Nancy Moyer still missing
CHELSEA KROTZERFour years after Nancy K. Moyer went missing from her Tenino home, police are still searching for leads in hopes of bringing answers to Moyers family. The 36-year-old mother of two was last seen by a co-worker the afternoon of March 6, 2009. The Tenino Police Department launched a missing persons investigation four years ago Saturday. Family discovered Moyer was missing the afternoon of March 7, 2009 after her husband tried to drop off the couples young daughters. The Moyers were separated at the time of her disappearance. The door to the house was open. Moyers keys, purse and car were at the house, but she was gone. There are no solid suspects, said Thurston County Sheriffs Sgt. Ray Brady. There are persons of interest that we have looked into in the case, but there is no one classified as a suspect at this point. The Sheriffs Office still has Moyers case as a missing person, but is presuming the case is a possible homicide. We have reasonable suspicion that someone caused her ill will, Brady said. It would not be considered a typical thing for Nancy to have just disappeared off the grid for four years.Because of that fact, Moyers family is simply looking for closure. You dont know, said Moyers mother, Sandra Hedlund. You dont know if it would be better one way or the other. Moyers daughters, now 15 and 13, live with their father in Aberdeen. Hedlund remembers trying to reach Moyer Sunday night after their grandchildren were dropped off at the home. Hedlund said Moyer was supposed to come to their house for dinner, but never came. We called her and she wasnt there; we thought maybe daylight savings time had thrown her off, Hedlund said. Moyer is 5 feet tall and weighs 115 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
