Centralia mom accused of letting 22-month-old son smoke marijuana

The mother of a 22-month-old Centralia boy was arrested Friday for suspicion of letting the child smoke marijuana from a bong, according to a news release.

The Centralia Police Department's anti-crime team served a warrant at a home on the 1400 block of Delaware Avenue in Centralia Friday afternoon that resulted in the arrest of a 25-year-old man and 24-year-old woman, the parents of the 22-month-old.

Police were told the woman was allegedly letting the boy inhale marijuana smoke from a bong.

Officers found 40 marijuana plants and firearms during the search, the release said.

The man is being accused of three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm and manufacturing marijuana. The woman is being accused of unlawfully delivering a controlled substance to a minor and manufacturing marijuana.

The boy, as well as another child, are now in the custody of Child Protective Services.
