News story only gave St. Peter’s perspective

OlympiaMarch 10, 2013

I am writing in response to The Olympian article on Feb. 28, regarding the possible union strike at Providence St. Peter Hospital.

The article did not give a fair representation of the employees’ concerns. The only information given was from a hospital representative.

Providence St. Peter Hospital is not living up to their mission as they do not provide affordable health care to the workers who are nursing and caring for the most vulnerable in our community.

I hope in future articles you will provide more accurate information from both sides of a dispute that needs to be resolved in a compassionate not corporate manner.

The Olympian is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
