Basketball: River Ridge's Brad Wallace named 2A player of the year by WIBCA

River Ridge High School senior Brad Wallace has been named the Class 2A state boys basketball player of the year by the Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association. The senior-only award is given to players in all six of the state's classifications -- 4A, 3A, 2A, 1A, 2B and 1B.

Wallace will be honored March 16 at Curtis High School in University Place during the WIBCA all-state games. The 1B/2B games tips off the event at 2 p.m., followed by the 1A/2A game at 4 p.m. and the 3A/4A game at 6 p.m.

Class 3A player of the year: Tre’Shaun Fletcher, sr., Lincoln

Class 2B player of the year: Spencer Novak, sr., LaConner
Class 1B player of the year: Brandon Berosma, sr. Sunnyside Christian
