According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Detroit Lions free agent defensive end Cliff Avril is on his way to Seattle for a visit.

According to Albert Breer of the NFL Network, Avril is expected to sign a deal with the Seahawks when he lands in the Pacific Northwest.

Wow. After making the big trade for Percy Harvin, it appears the Seahawks wasted little time attacking the team’s most pressing need this offseason — improving the pass rush defensively.

Atlanta Falcons free agent defensive end John Abraham visited Seattle last week before the free agency period began.
