The Seattle Seahawks signed defensive end Michael Bennett, the team announced on Friday.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the Seattle Times is reporting it to be a one-year deal worth $5 million.

Bennett originally signed with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M in 2009, but was released later that season. He was claimed off waivers in October 2009 by Tampa Bay, where he spent the past four seasons.

Bennett started all 16 games for the Buccaneers in 2012, posting a career- high nine sacks.

Over 50 career games, Bennet has totaled 15 sacks, 114 tackles and four forced fumbles.
