A win with zero hits? That's what Northwest Christian's baseball team did Monday afternoon in its Pacific 2B League game with Naselle. The Navigators won, 3-1, with zero hits, and was paced by Mason Stottlemyres 10 strikeouts over five innings. The Navigators scored their three runs on a fielders choice, a passed ball and a pick-off attempt at third base.
-- Leif Hanson gave up just one earned run and struck out five in Olympias 6-3 nonleague victory over North Thurston. Elliot Loague (2-for-3, double) and Leo Valenti (1-for-3, 2 RBI) paced the Bears offense.
-- Ty Carlton allowed just two hits over five innings and struck out six Yelm batters in Timberlines 3-0 victory over Yelm. Benny Kaleiwahea was 2-for-3 with a triple and drove in two runs.
-- North Thurston ran its record to 3-0 overall after a 18-0 3A Narrows victory over Foss. Its also the Rams second shutout in three games. Shortstop Dominique Greeno and Anneleis Dahmen combined for nine RBI and two home runs. For Greeno, it was her second home run in three games.
-- Olympia sophomore Maddy Stensby struck out 12 Bethel batters -- her second double-digit strikeout performance in three games -- in the Bears' 12-0 nonleague victory over the Braves at the RAC. Senior Gabby Braniff went 3-for-3 and Erin Roloff went 3-for-4 with four RBI.
Midfielder Kenny Heo notched his fourth goal of the season to help North Thurston to a 4-1 victory over Yelm. The Rams (3-1) have outscored their opponents, 10-2, in four games.
-- Tumwater swept all three doubles matches, led by its No. 1 doubles team of Emily Barclift and McKenzie Click (6-4, 4-6, 6-3) in the T-Birds 4-2 win over Capital in 2A Evergreen Conference play.
-- Yelm won all three of the doubles matches against Black Hills for a 4-2 nonleague victory over the Wolves. Black Hills won two of the three singles matches, led by its No. 1 singles player, Madilyn Sayler, who defeated Emma Charlston, 6-3, 6-1.
