BOO: Arming up

March 19, 2013

The Transportation Security Administration wants to let airplane passengers carry small knives onto planes. This is a bad idea. The TSA is opening up a Pandora’s box for no purpose. If we allows knives, why not box-cutters?

Meanwhile, over in South Dakota, the governor signed a bill allowing school districts to arm employees, including teachers, with guns. Some Texas school districts already have similar policies in place, and several other states are considering it.

Will this make schools safer, or more dangerous?
