Three residents of an Olympia senior living facility have reached or are just days from reaching their 100th birthday.
The three residents are from Australia, South Bend, Wash., and Aberdeen.
Twelve-year resident Marian Sollie will turn 100 on April 4. A lifelong Washington resident, Sollie is the youngest of eight children. Sollie was married to her husband for 62 years, has two daughters and 13 grandchildren.
Joel Ogren of South Bend turned 100 on Jan. 11. He told staff he remembers traveling by horse and buggy as a child and "how long it took to get places at that time."
Norman Cowan turned 100 on July 7, 2012. Originally from Brisbane, Australia, Cowan has traveled around the world and worked as a printer for the San Francisco Chronicle for 21 years.
