State parks offer free admission today

Staff reportMarch 30, 2013

Today is a free admission day at Washington state parks.

That means you can visit any state park without needing a Discover Pass that costs $10 per day or $30 a year. Go to discoverpass.wa.gov to learn more about the Discover Pass program.

Today is one of 12 free days set for this year, in honor of the park system’s centennial birthday.

According to the National Weather Service, today’s forecast is for patchy fog before 11 a.m. Otherwise, expect sun the rest of the day. The high was forecast as near 65. Tonight should be clear, with a low about 42.
