Thurston County sheriff’s deputies arrested a 59-year-old Scott Lake-area man Monday on suspicion of molesting a 10-year-old girl in a shed outside his home, court papers state.

Kenneth Fromm, who lives in the 2600 block of Trevue Avenue, was being held at the Thurston County Jail Tuesday on suspicion of first-degree child molestation. His bail was set at $15,000.

According to court papers:

The 10-year-old told her mother that Fromm had touched her Monday after she had stayed overnight at a friend’s Sunday for a neighborhood Easter egg hunt.

Fromm is the grandfather of the friend the 10-year-old was staying with.

During an interview with a Thurston County sheriff’s deputy, Fromm denied touching the girl inappropriately.
