Yarrington to coach football at Black Hills

Dominic Yarrington, who has been the football coach at four high schools in Washington, has been hired by Black Hills as its coach, athletic director Don Farler said Thursday.

Yarrington spent the past two seasons as the coach at West Seattle High School. He was previously the coach at Tyee, Lindbergh and White River high schools. He has led three of the teams to the postseason.

Yarrington becomes the third football coach at Black Hills, which had a 4-5 record last season and missed the playoffs. Jack Zilla resigned in February after 15 seasons.

Of the five South Sound schools with offseason football coaching turnover, two remain unfilled: Centralia and Rochester.
