South Sound Highlights for April 12

Olympia sophomore pitcher Maddy Stensby limited North Thurston to two hits in the Bears’ 4-2 nonleague victory over the Rams at Stevens Field. Nikki Schroeder went 2-for-3 with a home run and three RBI and Monica McCoy scored twice in the Bears’ fourth straight win. Sophomore Dominique Greeno homered for the seventh time in 11 games for one of the Rams’ two hits.

Lexi Tarrow had two of Black Hills’ hits in an 11-0 loss to Aberdeen in the 2A Evergreen Conference.


Patrick Neely’s walk-off RBI single in the seventh gave Centralia a 5-4 win over Capital in the 2A Evergreen Conference. Senior Kameron Minor struck out 10 Tigers in the loss and also went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBI.


Brendan McCauley shot a 2-over-par 38 at Indian Summer Golf and Country Club to pace Olympia to a 67-29 dual match win over Timberline.

Zach Lund and Grant Cation were co-medialists for Shelton, shooting a 3-over-par 39 in the Highclimbers’ 67-18 win over Wilson.


Led by Taylor Parsons (13-over 49), Olympia cruised to a 92-62 win over Timberline in a nonleague match.


North Thurston remains undefeated in the 3A Narrows League after its 3-2 win over Wilson, led by straight-set wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles by Ainsley Winterrowd and Shanelle Enlow.
