Applications are being accepted for a vacancy on the Yelm School Board.

Dave Pratt is resigning from his position because he is moving out of the district, said Lorraine Stensager, an executive assistant in the superintendent’s office.

Pratt’s last meeting will be April 25.

Candidates must reside in District 1, the northwest portion of the district that extends into the Lacey and Olympia areas. Applications are due May 7, and the School Board will conduct interviews during its May 9 meeting.

The appointee will serve in the position until it expires in November, Stensager said.
