A Shelton man was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center Thursday after the vehicle he was driving left northbound state Route 101 about 10 miles north of Shelton and hit a building, according to the State Patrol.
The 77-year-old man was taken to Mason General Hospital. and later airlifted to Seattle.
The dark green 1997 Ford Explorer he was driving about 2 p.m. left northbound SR 101 to the right at mile 334, crossed a ditch and a private driveway, hit a private fence, and came to a stop when it hit an outbuilding, according to the State Patrol.
The cause of the crash is being investigated, troopers said.
