Jim Northrup , 77 of Centralia , enjoyed the solitude of a beach near Grayling in the Twin Harbors area of the Washington coast Thursday April 25 2013 as he searched for Razor clams with only a headlamp for light. Northrup, who has been clamming for seven decades said he "likes to get-em before the crowds come." Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Dan Ayers said the clam populations at Twin Harbors are the best he’s seen in twenty years. The clam opener at Twin Harbors beach will run April 24th through the 30th with a limit of fifteen clams per day.
