WHAT TO WATCH TODAY

It’s an all-Lacey showdown for the 3A Narrows League baseball tournament title today when North Thurston faces Timberline for the No. 1 seed into the 3A West Central/Southwest bi-district tournament. In the 4A game, Olympia faces South Kitsap with the No. 1 seed to the 4A WCD/SW bi-district tournament on the line. THURSDAY’S HIGHLIGHTS

Senior Kenny Heo notched a hat trick, including two goals in eight minutes, in North Thurston’s 3-0 win over Lincoln in 3A Narrows League boys soccer at South Sound Stadium. Connor Hawthorne had five saves in the shutout.

Josh Castaneda’s goal in the 74th minute prevented a shutout loss in Timberline’s 3-1 loss to Mount Tahoma.

Mattie Boucher pitched a two-hit shutout and Marissa Reynolds hit a solo home run in W.F. West’s 8-0 win over Capital in 2A Evergreen Conference fastpitch.

Austin Wells had two of Shelton’s seven hits in a 10-6 loss to Wilson in the consolation game of the 3A Narrows League baseball tournament at the Regional Athletic Complex. The Highclimbers will be the league’s third seed into next week’s West Central/Southwest bi-district tournament.
