Rogers column was devoid of any useful information

There is no doubt that registered nurse and member of The Olympian’s Board of Contributors, Kathleen Rogers, hates “The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” (Obamacare) and our president. Her April 22 contribution to your opinion page was more a diatribe, void of any useful assessment of its provisions and the task of implementing them.

Me thinks that Nurse Rogers has mixed her pills with her politics. Surprise! She finds nothing of value in the Act by her six paragraphs of “The sky is falling” comments, suppositions and guesses about a matter that can only be described as a work in progress.

Any work of art, including the art of bringing legislation to fruition, is incomplete until the last stroke of the details have been tested and adjusted when necessary.

The Olympian is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
