Motorcyclists killed in accident north of Shelton

A Graham man and a Spanaway woman were killed Saturday afternoon after an oncoming vehicle crossed the center line and crashed into the motorcycle they were riding. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two people riding a motorcycle about 27 miles north of Shelton on Highway 101 were killed Saturday afternoon after a vehicle crossed the center line and crashed into them, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The motorcyclists, a 48-year-old man from Graham and a 50-year-old woman from Spanaway, were pronounced dead at the scene. Names were not released, pending notification of next of kin. The driver of the vehicle, Leonard C. Vohs, 64, of Burns, Ore., suffered minor injuries.

The accident is under investigation.
