Support the port, and help yourself

May 6, 2013

Regarding the opinion page article by the Port of Olympia commissioners: I must take issue with the complainers. Once again we have people making statements without looking beyond the end of their noses.

The shipments of fracking material is an adjunct to aid in the development of an oil source in our own country, which will put an end to our being forced to buy oil from the foreign oil cartels and hopefully lower the cost of oil, gas and other by-products. Which in turn will lighten the tax burden for us.

We are all entitled to our opinions, but by supporting our port commissioners we are helping ourselves.

The Olympian is pleased to provide this opportunity to share information, experiences and observations about what's in the news. Some of the comments may be reprinted elsewhere in the site or in the newspaper. We encourage lively, open debate on the issues of the day, and ask that you refrain from profanity, hate speech, personal comments and remarks that are off point. Thank you for taking the time to offer your thoughts.
