LACEY: Small kitchen fire disrupts high school

River Ridge High School in Lacey was evacuated about 8:15 a.m. Monday due to a small oven fire in the school’s kitchen, according to Cortny Martin with North Thurston Public Schools’ Community Relations Department.

Nobody was injured and students were allowed back in the school when fire crews cleared the scene at about 8:45 a.m., she said.
