Scandal turns up the heat

W hile continuing to field questions about Benghazi — like the bad cold that won’t go away — President Barack Obama found himself with a new scandal on his hands. The Internal Revenue Service is a hot button for everybody, but revelations the tax collectors applied extra scrutiny to conservative political groups seeking tax exemption status turned up the heat. By the end of the week, Obama had fired the acting director of the IRS and more disciplinary actions seemed possible.
