Saint Martin’s second baseman Lacey McGladrey was an All-America first-team pick to the NCAA Division II softball team announced Wednesday by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

She was named to the second team by Daktronics.

McGladrey, a junior from Bothell, is the fourth athlete from the school to earn first-team All-America honors.

She joins women’s basketball player Olivia Carillo (1996), men’s golfer Shane Prante (2006) and men’s basketball player Blake Poole (2011) as first-team All-Americans to compete for Saint Martin’s for either Division II or NAIA.

McGladrey, the Great Northwest Athletic Conference’s player of the year, finished the season batting .397 with 65 runs scored and 17 doubles in 57 games.

She helped the Saints earn their first GNAC regular-season title, GNAC tournament title and NCAA tournament appearance. The Saints set a school record for wins in a season, compiling a 41-16 record.
