June 18, 2013

A 51-year-old man is being accused of attempted murder after allegedly shooting another man in the leg with a 12-gauge shotgun, according to a Thurston County Sheriff's Office news release.

The incident was reported at around 5 p.m. Monday, in the 7700 block of Delphi Road Southwest. Deputies arrived to find a man with a "significant wound to his left thigh."

The 28-year-old victim was taken to Providence St. Peter Hospital, and later to Harborview Medical Center, in Seattle. His condition is unknown.

The shooting allegedly started with an argument between the 28-year-old man and his girlfriend. The 51-year-old allegedly "chose to involve himself" in the argument, then said he intended to kill the 28-year-old and grabbed the shotgun.

The 28-year-old was shot at least once in the leg.
