Police arrest nude man at Scatter Creek rest area

Staff writerJune 18, 2013

Washington State Patrol troopers arrested a nude 39-year-old driver at the Scatter Creek rest area Monday afternoon after he allegedly pulled up alongside a truck driver and committed a lewd act, a WSP spokesman said.

Troopers were dispatched to the area based on citizens' reports of a naked man driving around the rest area. Troopers pulled the suspect over about 1:15 p.m., after he had turned his car around and started to go the wrong way in the rest area when he saw approaching police, WSP spokesman Guy Gill said.

The suspect admitted to the crime and was placed under arrest. He was booked at the Thurston County Jail after being cited for misdemeanor indecent exposure and driving on a suspended license.
