Get to know each other, then pass a dang budget

LaceyJune 29, 2013

I’m frustrated and disappointed in the inability of our state representatives to come to an agreement on a budget for Washington state. I encourage legislators to go to dinner with your opponents, off the clock. Get to know each other as caring humans. Bury hatchets and mend fences.

Remember that your job is to do what is best for the residents of this state. Not your party, not lobbyists and not yourselves. Go over the facts, try to agree on them. Negotiate, compromise and get the job done.

If you can’t do this I encourage all voters to vote out every legislator regardless of party affiliation since you legislators obviously can’t do the job you were hired to do. Get ’er done!
