Voter registration for Aug. 6 primary is Monday

July 2, 2013

The deadline to register to vote in this year's Aug. 6 primary is Monday, July 8.

The deadline is effective for online and mail-in registrations, as well as voter registration updates.

For citizens who have not registered to vote in Washington, July 29, is the last day to register in person at their county elections office.

To be eligible to vote, you must be 18 years of age by Aug. 6, a U.S. citizen, a legal resident of Washington, not under the supervision of the state Department of Corrections for a Washington felony conviction, and not be disqualified from voting by a court order.

Primary ballots will be mailed to most voters by July 19.
