Total Wine & More set to open at Westfield Capital mall

July 9, 2013

Wine, spirits and beer retailer Total Wine & More is set to open at Westfield Capital mall in Olympia on July 18.

The 21,000-square-foot store will occupy a portion of the formers Mervyn's space at the mall. Other retailers that occupy that space include REI and Forever 21.

The store will carry more than 8,000 wines, 3,000 spirits and 2,500 beers, including more than 1,500 Washington wines, 80 Washington and Oregon distilled spirits and 550 Pacific Northwest beers, according to a news release. It also will feature a "Brewery District" beer-tasting bar and growler section with 12 rotating taps of locally brewed craft beers.

As part of the new store grand opening, Total Wine & More will host live entertainment, beer and wine tastings from July 18 through July 21.

The Olympia location is the company's 96th and sixth in Washington state. A seventh store is planned for Spokane later this year. Total Wine & More is headquartered in Potomac, Maryland, according to its website.

Total Wine & More will be open 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week.
