South Sound Military for July 13

Air Force

Air Force Airman 1st Class James C. Longmire graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Longmire is the son of Sharon Longmire of Selah, and grandson of Rachel Harris of Olympia. He is a 2007 graduate of Olympia High School.

Air Force Airman Paul H. Morrow graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Morrow is the son of Lynn Schade of Olympia, and Ted Morrow of Puyallup.

Shannon (Reichert) Williams, 2005 graduate of North Thurston High School, was recently promoted to the rank of Captain. After graduating from the Air Force Academy in 2009, she became a C-21 pilot and is now assigned to the 458th Airlift Squadron, HQ AMC, Scott AFB, IL.

Air Force Reserves

Air Force Reserve Airman David G. Houchin graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Houchin is the son of Michele Butler of Yelm, and Sean Houchin of Palm City, Fla. He is a 2010 graduate of Yelm High School.

Air Force Reserve Airman Keenan U. Moye graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Moye is the son of Tracey and Anthony Moye of Lacey, and a 2009 graduate of River Ridge High School.

Air Force ROTC

Ryan M. Poppert has been awarded an Air Force ROTC scholarship to attend a host college or university. He is the son of Lori and Michael Poppert of Lacey.

Army Reserves

Army Reserve Pvt. Natasha A. Boeck Krebbs has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. Boeck Krebbs is the daughter of Tammy Krebbs of Olympia, and granddaughter of Gerald Boeck of Lacey. She is a 2012 graduate of River Ridge High School.

Navy

Jason M. Lacy, 2005 graduate of Yelm, HS, and a 2009 graduate of the United States Naval Academy was promoted to Navy Lieutenant in May, 2013. He is a naval aviator, stationed in Norfolk, VA.
